Privacy notice
Last updated 23 October 2026
This notice covers our online shop: the product pages, the cart, checkout, the enquiry form and the order confirmation page. It explains what we collect when you use them, why, and who else sees it. For the rest of our website, see the privacy policy on our main site.
Who we are
Automated Machinery Services ("AMS", "we", "us") is an industrial electrical contractor with bases in Jamisontown and on the Central Coast, NSW. You can reach us on 0479 106 887, or at email.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, company and ABN (if you give them), email address, phone number, delivery address (unless you're picking up), any order notes, and a purchase order number if you submit one. These go to our order system (Switchboard), where your order is kept and becomes a job for our team to pack and send.
- When you pay by card: you give Stripe, our payment provider, your payment details. Stripe handles your card details. We never see or store your card number. Stripe gives us the order's payment status and the amount paid.
- When you send an enquiry: what you type into the form: your name, phone number, email address, the item you're asking about, your delivery suburb if you give one, and your message. You don't have to fill in every field, but we need a name and a phone number or email to reply.
- Your cart: the items in your cart are kept in your browser on your own device. They aren't sent to us until you place an order or send us an order request. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
- While you fill in the order form: what you've typed is kept in your browser tab, not on our servers, so you don't have to type it again if you come back from the payment page. It's cleared when your order is done or you close the tab.
We don't have customer accounts, and the shop doesn't ask for anything else about you.
After you order, the confirmation page asks our order system about your order, using your order number and a private code in the page address. It shows your order number, the items and the total. It doesn't show your name, email address, phone number or delivery address.
Why we collect it
- To take your payment or your purchase order, fill your order and get it to you, or have it ready for pickup.
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To keep records of orders and enquiries, including for tax and accounting.
- To see which of our ads lead to enquiries and orders.
We don't sell your details, and we won't add you to a marketing mailing list.
Ad measurement
The shop uses . When you visit, send an enquiry or complete an order, they tell that it happened. For an order, that includes the order total. We don't send your name, email address or phone number. They may set cookies or use similar technology in your browser, and they receive information such as the page address, your device and browser, and the ad click ID if you came from an ad.
They handle this information under their own privacy policies. You can limit it:
- Google: turn off personalised ads in My Ad Center.
- Meta: change your ad preferences in Facebook or Instagram settings.
- Your browser: block or clear cookies, block third-party cookies, or use a private window or a tracker-blocking extension. The shop still works if you do.
Who receives your details
- Stripe takes your card payment. It gets your email address (for its receipt) and your payment details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- AMS: our order and job management system (Switchboard), where our team picks, packs and dispatches your order and follows up enquiries. It is provided by service providers, MANDA OS among them, and runs on Supabase's servers.
- Cloudflare hosts this shop's pages, so it processes the requests your browser makes, such as your IP address.
- Our couriers, where we post your order, get your name, delivery address and phone number so they can deliver it.
Where your details are stored
Stripe, Cloudflare, Supabase, our job management system and the other tools we use are provided by service providers. Some of them may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to protect your details from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.
We keep order and enquiry records for as long as we need them for our business, and for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask what details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete an enquiry. Call us on 0479 106 887. We'll respond within 30 days.
If you have a complaint about how we've handled your details, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. If you're not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
